The Authors of Pain have not been seen on WWE TV as a unit since the end of 2018 when Akam was sidelined with a knee injury that required surgery.
However, it was reported a few days ago that Akam is now medically cleared to the compete and subsequently the former Raw tag team champions are preparing for a return to the ring.
However, now PWInsider is reporting that the two heavyweights are being advertised for Smackdown live events this month. Since their main roster debut the night after WrestleMania 34 in April 2018, the Authors of Pain were exclusive to Raw.
The pair have been rumoured for a switch to Smackdown, especially after the Superstar Shake-Up where the blue brand’s tag team division was gutted and left looking rather slim.
There is no current word on when Akam and Rezar will be returning to TV, or if they will be paired with Drake Maverick once again as they were when they were last seen.
