Earlier today, WWE confirmed that NXT will be moving to the USA Network next month. The new show, beginning on September 18th, will be live and is set to run for two hours every week.
The idea is that NXT TV will be going head-to-head with All Elite Wrestling’s new TV show on TNT, which starts on October 2nd.
One of AEW’s top stars Chris Jericho responded to the move made by Vince McMahon, his former employer.
Y2J took to Twitter to congratulate NXT for “making the big move to the USA Network”. He then said that it is “gonna be fun to see which team the world decides to join”.
Congrats to @WWENXT for making the big move to the @USA_Network! Runners always race faster when somebody is right behind them. Gonna be fun to see which team the world decides to join! #ChooseJericho @AEWrestling @AEWonTNT

AEW’s official Instagram account then shared an image of Chris Jericho’s tweet. This is seemingly the company’s first official response to the big news.

As Chris Jericho quite rightly said, October will be an exciting time in the world of professional wrestling, with two of the likely best wrestling TV shows being broadcast on the same night, at the same time.
