Ring of Honor (ROH) has just announced that it has come to terms with current TV Champion Shane Taylor to buy out his contract with the promotion, effective immediately.
Ring of Honor Wrestling and Shane Taylor have agreed to terms on a buyout of his contract, effective immediately.
ROH is currently in negotiations with Taylor for him to make his advertised defense of the ROH World Television Title at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on Sept. 27 in Las Vegas against Flip Gordon and Tracy Williams in a Triple Threat Match.
Taylor signed for ROH in 2016, but there are now rumours that he could be making a major next step in his career.
A source on the independent scene has informed us that there is talk that Taylor has been approached by WWE over a move to NXT, with the idea that he would team up with former tag partner Keith Lee, who signed with the developmental brand in 2018.
This report is far from confirmed, so please do not take this as gospel, but WWE is sure to be looking to sign some new faces to NXT as it debuts live on the USA Network tomorrow (September 18) night.
We will keep you up to date with any further information.
