PWG has often been the proving ground for many of the top wrestlers in the world that we have grown to know and love.
The promotion’s top title has even been held by WWE stars Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, NXT UK’s WALTER and AEW’s Kenny Omega.
PWG put on a host of exceptional shows this weekend as part of the 2019 BOLA tournament.
It appears that both WWE and AEW saw this as the perfect time to scout some of the exciting wrestlers that were competiting at the tournament as representatives from both promotions attended the shows.
Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE and AEW higher-ups were at the event to try and scout some potential stars:
“Tony Khan was there from AEW. Jim Smallman, Glenn Joseph were there from WWE. There were others there too.”
Meltzer did not specify if WWE or AEW had their eye on any wrestler in particular. However, the shows were stacked with some truly amazing wrestlers, leaving both promotions with potential stars for the future.
