Roman Reigns has announced that he injured his knee during his Hell in a Cell tag tornado match last night.
Reigns and tag partner Daniel Bryan defeated Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, and hugged it out after the match to confirm Bryan’s transition from heel to babyface once more.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Roman said:
“Yeah, I tweaked it out there but don’t worry, I’m gonna “Wolverine” that thing tonight and I’ll be ready for SmackDown in Las Vegas on Friday. Get some rest and I’ll be back to do my best.”
You can check out the full interview below.
It is refreshing to see Roman getting positive reactions to being a babyface given how badly his push was received prior to him taking time away from WWE to undergo Leukaemia treatment.
Staying out of the main title picture has allowed him to develop a character and connect with fans, but now that Brock Lesnar is champion again, surely Roman will be booked as the one man who can overthrow him.
