A lot can happen in a year, and that statement has never been more true than in the case of current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
Lynch, while everyone was well aware of her skill and potential, hadn’t quite broken through to become a true top star in WWE. Then a few words changed that.
12 months ago to this day (October 18), Becky Lynch tweeted the following:

Those four words sparked a meteoric rise to becoming the biggest draw in WWE for a time, and Lynch has taken to Twitter today to celebrate:
One year ago today I said the words, “I am the Man” and it started the greatest 12 month ascent in WWE history. I was trying to turn on you, but you wouldn’t let me. You were all right. Thank you.

In this year period, Lynch has held both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships, at one point simultaneously, won the main event of WrestleMania, and become one of the biggest stars in the company.
The Man is a perfect example of how hard work can all come together in one moment of magic and spark a rise to the very top.
