Last night in the opening match on Monday Night Raw, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was able to defeat Kairi Sane in arguably the best women’s match on WWE TV in several months.
Prior to last night’s show, WWE on FOX‘s Twitter account shared a preview for Raw with an image of Ric Flair, Kairi Sane, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Erick Rowan and Hulk Hogan.

The post, which has since been deleted, generated a lot of controversy online. One fan called out the account for not including any “people of color” in their preview image.
However, what was perhaps more controversial was the account’s response. WWE on FOX responded to the fan with “what do you think Kairi Sane is?”
The tweet surprisingly did not go down well, and WWE on FOX has since responded and apologised.
The account responded to a Reddit thread talking about the situation by saying the following:
It was a bad tweet our on end. We shouldn’t have even replied, or we could’ve used other examples like The Street Profits, R-Truth etc. But we just should’ve stayed quiet. Mistakes happen, and this was on us.
The tweet came at a bad time as Jordan Myles had just called out WWE hours prior for a racially insensitive shirt they released for him.
