Many wrestling fans, critics and personalities have all taken to social media to praise the former WWE star for his work on the mic last night.
One of the first to publically praise Cody was Jim Cornette, who even compared Cody’s promo to one of his father’s.
The promo @CodyRhodes just cut on @AEWrestling is the modern version of his Dad's "Hard Times" promo. To quote the Dream, "That's how you do it, kid".

The Rock is widely regarded as one of the best promos in wrestling history, so for Cody to receive praise from him for his work will certainly mean a lot.
