As rumored earlier today, WWE is planning on redesigning some titles. The first one rumored to change was the Universal Title.
Given the Universal Title now on the Blue Brand, something about having a glaring red title seemed a bit off. So, on FireFly Funhouse we got a new title design.

So, obviously the belt is blue now. However, the news didn’t stop there.
Bray Wyatt threatened that he would be watching Daniel Bryan on tonight’s episode of MizTV. He also said he would be watching.
He definitely implied that The Fiend would be getting involved in the segment. If The Fiend was after me I would definitely want some backup.
However, Daniel Bryan didn’t see it that way. After the Fun House segment, Bryan ran into Sami Zayn backstage.

Zayn demanded Bryan answer whether or not he would be joining forces with Zayn, Nakamura, and Cesaro. Bryan said no.
It looks like Daniel Bryan will be attempting to gain the Blue Universal Title all on his own at Survivor Series.
While it seemed pretty obvious the Smackdown would want some blue in the title, I was hoping for a black leather belt with a blue background in the plate. Unfortunately, the leather on the belt is blue.
At least WWE is consistent in its creative designs for titles.
