Following his big win last night, Tyson Fury is the name on many people’s lips, including a WWE star who is prepared to defend his title against Fury.
Fury defeated Deontay Wilder by TKO last night, but WWE Intercontinental Champion Braun Strowman wants another piece of him.
Strowman tweeted:
Hell of a W @Tyson_Fury what ya say wanna try your luck for my #IntercontinentalChampionship ????? #LetsRunItBack #GiveTheWorldWhatTheyWant #RealHeavyweights
Strowman and Fury did battle at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia last October, with Fury winning by countout, or TKO as the commentators called it, because boxing.
With two big shows coming up, Fury could well be in line for a return. While it may be a bit too soon after his fight, Super ShowDown takes place in Saudi Arabia this coming Thursday, and Strowman doesn’t currently have a match scheduled for the show.
And, of course, there’s also WrestleMania coming up on April 5. At one point, there were even reports that WWE was considering Fury vs. Brock Lesnar for ‘Mania, but when Drew McIntyre won the Royal Rumble and declared he’d be facing Lesnar, that was all put to bed.
