It was announced last night by WWE that this year’s WrestleMania would be taking place at the Performance Center in Orlando in front of zero fans, instead of at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, as a result of the current Coronavirus pandemic.
There is a report that WWE is working on a separate, secret plan, but as of now the plan is a WrestleMania without fans.
Unsurprisingly, fans on social media aren’t very happy, with the vast majority arguing it would be much better to postpone the show until it is safe for fans to attend.
WWE star Sasha Banks took to Twitter to admit that, while the situation isn’t ideal, the wrestlers would do everything to make the show as special as possible, despite the difficulties.
It breaks my ❤️ to know that fans won’t be able to attend #WrestleMania They aren’t just there to watch the show, they’re apart of it! But priority #1 is everyone’s health. So on April 5th we will do our very best to put on a show worthy of our fans. Its what you deserve.

Former WWE star CM Punk had a slightly more cynical view…shockingly.
Well that’s one way to make sure Roman finally gets not booed and nobody chants for meeeeeeee.

The report from WrestleVotes is that very few people wanted to have the show at the Performance Center, but that someone “high up” made the call. I wonder who that might have been.
