Tyson Fury made his WWE in-ring debut at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia in October 2019. Almost immediately afterwards, it emerged that WWE was keen to have the undefeated boxer return at some point.
Whether Fury appeared on the show or not was very much dependent on whether he could defeat Deontay Wilder in their MGM Grand rematch in February 2020. Fury won, and WWE was clearly keen to have him appear at their shows again.
Well, Fury has now revealed on talkSPORT that he was going to be part of the WrestleMania show. However, he did not mention in what capacity.
Fury revealed on the radio show this morning that he was set to be in Tampa for the big pay-per-view, but the Coronavirus pandemic obviously caused those plans to change.
Tyson Fury confirms to talkSPORT he was meant to be apart of #WrestleMania 36
“I was supposed to be at WrestleMania 36, but obviously with the coronavirus I couldn’t be there.”
Says he’d love to face Drew McIntyre after Wilder rematch.

Fury also told talkSPORT that he’d love to face new WWE Champion Drew McIntyre after he defeated Deontay Wilder in their rematch, whenever that happens.
WWE will clearly be looking to bring in some big stars for their SummerSlam pay-per-view if live crowds are permitted for the show. So if he is free, don’t be surprised if Fury is part of the show in some capacity.
