While still not exactly where Raw wants to be, Raw’s viewership rebounded from previous weeks. This week’s show pulled in 2.1 million viewers.
This is up 19% from last week. Even with people stuck at home and nothing to do, people still aren’t tuning in to watch wrestling when there aren’t any crowds.
The show still had a significant drop from hour 1 to hour 3. It went from 2.3 million to 1.93 million. This is a 17% drop, but much less than the last two weeks.
One major difference between last night’s show and the previous weeks was that WWE did not air a historical match in its entirety. Instead, it was all new content mixed with highlights from Mania.
I think that kept viewers along with the teaser of the post WrestleMania angle hyped as must-see. It turned out it was The Big Show returning to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.
The other highlights of the show featured a Raw debut for Bianca Belair and Apollo Crews getting traded. I mean why wouldn’t you watch to see Apollo Crews.
It will be very interesting to see what happens when Raw is able to go live again.
