Vince McMahon might be a genius, but there is no denying that the former WWE Champion (yes that actually happened) is one strange dude, and the latest of his crazy antics have been revealed by WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson on his podcast.
Speaking on the ARN show, Anderson revealed that Vince McMahon instructed WWE’s commentary team to bury on of the most dominant acts in NXT history once they arrived on the main roster.
On his podcast, Arn questioned why Vince would have ordered the commentary team to bury The Ascension upon their arrival to the main roster, especially considering how dominant they were as Tag Team Champions down in NXT:
“Why would you take any character that is on our show that the company professes to being the number one wrestling company, or the number one sports entertainment company in the entire world, and put them on our TV show with valuable TV time and bury them, have the announcers bury them?”
Anderson would go on to state that everything in WWE, no matter how big or small, has to be approved by Vince McMahon before making its way to WWE TV.
“Sure. Everything character-wise passes by the big chair [Vince McMahon]. If it’s the last place they go, it goes by the big chair for approval. Make no mistake, characters, angles, you name it.
