Last night, WWE put on the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, which featured the most unique and wacky ladder match in wrestling history, that was won by Asuka and Otis.
Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, WWE seems intent on sticking to as much of its previously planned pay-per-view schedule as possible, as the next special event was confirmed on last night’s show.
During the show, WWE confirmed that Backlash will be taking place on June 14, however, no location for the pay-per-view was confirmed.
While many have assumed that WWE is going to put on the show at the Performance Center, some have speculated that by not announcing a location, WWE may be considering other venues for the PPV.
This all comes after the Florida Governor is believed to have stated that major sporting companies like WWE and AEW could start welcoming fans back in June.
While this is merely speculation, perhaps WWE hasn’t confirmed a location for Backlash as they are considering welcoming fans back for the PPV next month. For the latest on this story, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
Edge, Randy Orton and Becky Lynch are all set to return to TV tonight on Raw, so perhaps we are going to see a few more high-profile matches for Backlash announced in the coming weeks.
