3 Titles were on the line tonight at AEW: Double or Nothing. A new TNT champion was crowned and you can see who won by clicking here. However, it wasn’t the only title that was going around a new person’s waist.
Hikaru Shida defeated Nyla Rose to become the new AEW Women’s Champion. Shida won a hard-fought battle in a no disqualification match against Rose.

Shida becomes the 3rd Women’s Champion in the first year of AEW. She’s easily the most polished woman on the roster who makes regular appearances on AEW’s shows.
Putting the title on her makes a lot of sense. While she isn’t going to be getting over because of her promo work. However, she certainly can get over by her work in the ring.

It will be interesting to see where AEW goes from here. If I ran the world, Shida would be champion for quite some time. She deserves a lengthy title reign.
Congratulations to the new champion!!
