AEW president and CEO Tony Khan has given us an update on who will be challenging Cody for the TNT Championship on tomorrow’s AEW Dynamite.
Khan tweeted out that the man challenging Cody will be one of the world’s top independent wrestlers.
He wrote:
Tomorrow night on #AEWDynamite , @CodyRhodes will defend the TNT Championship against one of the top independent wrestlers in the world! It’s part of a huge card and what I promise will be a great episode of #AEW Dynamite tomorrow night on TNT at 8pm ET/7pm CT!
So, who could it be? This is the first Dynamite since all the former WWE stars who released in April are available as their non-compete clauses have expired, so some are speculating it could be one of those. Others are suggesting it could be Warhorse, who was mentioned by Arn Anderson in a recent promo.
Jon Moxley said in an interview that there’s a “big surprise” set for tomorrow’s Dynamite. As always, WrestleTalk.com will have live coverage of tomorrow’s episode of AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT.
