This week on Monday Night Raw, Shane McMahon returned to TV for the first time in 2020 to introduce Raw Underground, which is basically WWE’s version of Fight Club.
Raw Underground has received mixed feedback online. While some fans have applauded WWE for trying something new, others feel that this is a knee-jerk reaction to low ratings and will be dropped in weeks.
It seems like it isn’t only wrestling fans who have poked fun at Raw Underground, as several members of Impact Wrestling, including some who worked for WWE, have made jokes about the new concept.
Taking to Twitter during last night’s Impact Wrestling show, Impact commentator Josh Matthews, who used to work for WWE, had the following to say about the new concept.
This one might need to be settled on #IMPACTUNDERGROUND Jk Jk #IMPACTonAXSTV
Impact Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore then commented on Matthew’s joke, welcoming him to the “don’t give an F gang”:
I expect this from @THETOMMYDREAMER or but not a corporate VP or @IMPACTWRESTLING! Welcome to the don’t give a F gang! This tweet might just win the night! This tweet might just win the night!
The jokes did not stop there, as former Raw Tag Team Champion and one of Impact’s newest signings, Karl Anderson, also poked fun at the new concept on social media:
“Please, For the love of God, anything but that ..”
