It was reported on Monday that, as has come to be expected now, the backstage atmosphere at the Performance Center for the tapings of two episodes of Monday Night Raw was rather chaotic.
It seems like we now know why things were so chaotic, and it’s because WWE went into the taping of this week’s show, with only two segments prepared and planned.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE only prepared for the Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre segment, and Shane McMahon hosting Raw Underground, nothing else was planned.
This is pretty big news, as this means that the brand new faction that debuted (sort of) on the show by throwing Molocov Cocktails at the Performance Center generator was a very last minute decision.
For what it’s worth, the Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton segment has been praised heavily online following the show. It goes to show that the things that are thought out a little bit more are often better received.
