A WWE NXT star appeared in a match on tonight’s episode of the show on the USA Network, but he did so while debuting a new name.
Tehuti Miles might not be too familiar to NXT viewers, but he has appeared on a few episodes, as well as main roster shows, as a jobber, and has been a regular on 205 Live recently.
He had a match against Velveteen Dream tonight, but he wasn’t Tehuti Miles, he was: Ashante “Thee” Adonis.
He didn’t last too long as Dream picked up the win, but he did get in a little bit of offence. His recent career on 205 Live wasn’t alluded to, so this seems to be a full-on character change.
Another story from the same match was that Kushida made his return to attack Dream after the match. Dream turned heel by attacking Kushida a few weeks ago.
The next TakeOver is confirmed for October 4, so it’ll be interesting to see if they’ll have a match there or on TV before that comes.
