It’s being reported that a title match teased for the September 27 WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view is not set in stone.
Last night on Raw, Asuka retained the Raw Women’s Title over Mickie James, but was then confronted by the woman who will seemingly be her next challenger, Zelina Vega.
Vega said she was fed up of looking after Andrade and Angel Garza, and wanted to finally do something for herself.
PWInsider is reporting that, as of now, Asuka vs Zelina Vega does seem to be the direction but is not 100% set in stone for Clash of Champions.
With Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defending the Women’s Tag Title, there is a shortage of heel challengers in the Raw women’s division. Mandy Rose was just moved there from SmackDown but she’s a babyface coming off the back of her romance with Otis.
The only other credible option really is Natalya, but she and Lana have been beaten a couple of times as a tag team on TV lately. There’s also either Billie Kay or Peyton Royce following their split but neither of them were even mentioned on last night’s show.
