One of the champion vs. champion matches at Survivor Series will feature the Street Profits taking on the New Day. The two sets of Tag Team Champions will clash but one has to wonder where Big E’s allegiance will lie.
On one hand, he represents SmackDown. On the other, he was partners with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for six years. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins discussed who they think Big E will side with. Here is the quote:
Dawkins: “That would have been fun, but I have a feeling Big E will still be there. He’ll be rooting for his boys, and we’re on the same brand as him. After the match, it’s going to be all love. We’ve got nothing but love and respect for one another. They set the bar, and we’re just trying to get to that level.”
Ford: “Right now, Big E’s doing his thing, but I would not be surprised to see him ringside. We’ll see if he’s crazy enough to get involved. In some form or fashion, I think he’ll be there.”
The Street Profits and the New Day infamously exchanged their respective tag titles at the WWE Draft. As they both switched brands, they swapped the titles so their reigns can coincide with what show they were on. So much for title histories.
