Tonight on AEW: Dynamite, AEW hosted the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale. A slew of AEW wrestlers competed for the Diamond Ring.
The rules of this match have the last two men in the Battle Royale qualifying for a single’s match next week. Ultimately, MJF and Orange Cassidy were the two finalists and will compete for the Diamond Ring on next week’s AEW: Dynamite.
MJF entered the match with fellow Inner Circle members Sammy Guevara and Wardlow. For the majority of the match, the 3 men just stood by and watched as others were eliminated.
However, when it appeared we were down to the final 5, they jumped into the action. The 3 eliminated Miro, who eliminated much of the field, and we were down to the Inner Circle and Jungle Boy.

MJF pushed Sammy and Jungle Boy off the apron and eliminated both men. At this point, Wardlow realized Orange Cassidy had never been eliminated. Miro and Kip Sabian had pulled Cassidy to the outside after he eliminated Sabian.
Wardlow brought Cassidy back in the ring. Orange hit massive Orange Punches on both men but ultimately forced Wardlow over the top rope.
This left Cassidy and MJF standing in the ring. The two will do battle over the ring next week. The winner will have control of the Diamond Ring for the next year. MJF has held the ring since winning it last year.
