The year is starting to wind down and so the final major New Japan Pro Wrestling event is set for tonight. The culmination of the Best of the Super Juniors and World Tag League tournament will take place in Japan and the winners of the two tournaments will be crowned.
Things have been different this year with a much smaller field for both tournaments as a result of the pandemic. Despite the changes, the tournaments have been alright and now the card is set.
After missing last year’s tournament with a broken jaw, El Desperado has fought his way to his first tournament final. Here he will face Hiromu Takahashi, winner of the 2018 Best of the Super Juniors.
Meanwhile on the other side of things, Juice Robinson and David Finlay look to win their second consecutive World Tag League. To do it they will need to defeat the Guerrillas of Destiny. Surprisingly, despite their immense success in New Japan, GOD has never won a World Tag League.
Here is the full card for tonight’s show:
- Toru Yano, SHO & Robbie Eagles vs. Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens & Taiji Ishimori
- Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toa Henare vs. Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb & The Great O-Khan
