On the January 6, 2021 edition of AEW: Dynamite, Chuck Taylor and Miro agreed to fight each other next week on Night 2 of AEW’s New Year’s Smash. While this is a match that has seemingly taken forever to happen, it appears we could be seeing more of this storyline. Plus it had already been announced.
In a backstage promo, Miro interrupted Chuck Taylor. Miro continued making his “young boy” comments. As a result, a stipulation was added to the match for next week.
If Miro wins, then Chuck Taylor will have to be Miro’s young boy until after the wedding of Sabian and Penelope Ford. Given the push AEW wants to give Miro and the fact that usually adding a stipulation like this gives away the ending, it seems Taylor is likely going to be carrying Miro’s bags and other shenanigans.
Here is the rest of the card for next week:
- Darby Allin (c) vs. Brian Cage – TNT Title
- PAC vs. Eddie Kingston
- Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker
- Chuck Taylor vs. Miro
- FTR vs. Jurassic Express
