If you aren’t keen on spoilers for tomorrow’s Royal Rumble matches, I’d advise that you don’t read further. Instead, check out the rest of this wonderful website and read everything else!
However, if you don’t play by the rules, then by all means continue reading.
It is being reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while many surprises are likely to occur in the Rumble matches, one person who is almost definitely appearing is Seth Rollins, who hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since November 2020.
“Fewer spots are announced than ever before, leading to expectation of surprises. One would expect Seth Rollins to return, since he was supposed to weeks ago and suddenly that changed without explanation.”
Rollins and partner Becky Lynch celebrated the birth of their first child, Roux, in December, and therefore Rollins has been on paternity leave.
As was mentioned in the Observer Newsletter, Rollins was in fact briefly advertised to return at the turn of the year, but these adverts were dropped without any explanation as to why. It was reported at the time that the advert was put out by mistake before any firm plans for a return had been made.
Rollins won the Rumble back in 2019, but it would be very surprising if he returned and repeated that feat this year.
