In what has been months in the making, Asuka is finally going to get to defend the Raw Women’s Championship on a pay-per-view. Asuka hasn’t had a championship pay-per-view match since the fall of 2020.
That streak comes to an end at Elimination Chamber. Lacey Evans has been named the number 1 contender and will challenge for the title at the pay-per-view late this month.
Asuka and Charlotte Flair’s feud finally took a step forward as Ric Flair explained his involvement with Evans. Basically, he wants to be needed and Evans needs him to help push her to the top.
It was revealed on WWE Raw that Evans only had to beat Charlotte Flair to earn a title shot. Between Evans and Ric Flair, they were able to get under Charlotte’s skin and force the disqualification.
Because of the DQ, Lacey Evans is the new challenger to the Raw Women’s Title. The match was officially announced in hour 3 of WWE Raw.
