Ringside News – who have had a good track record of backstage reports in recent months – have revealed some major spoilers for the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
The site is reporting that WWE is planning two Elimination Chamber matches, one that was announced on Raw this week, and another that will be coming from the SmackDown side.
The report also notes that the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match will not feature any women’s wrestlers. The match, which will be announced on Friday’s SmackDown, will be another men’s match.
The report does not state who the participants in the match will be, and whether or not the match will be for a title. You can stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for more information on that.
We asked about what they are planning instead of a women’s match; and we have confirmed that there will be two men’s Elimination Chamber matches this year. The setup for the second match was not revealed, but it will be for the SmackDown brand.
Shane McMahon returned to WWE on Raw this week to reveal that Drew McIntyre will defend his WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber against Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, The Miz, AJ Styles and former best friend Sheamus.
