Since the beginning of the ThunderDome Era, WWE has held episodes of Raw, SmackDown and pay-per-views initially at the Amway Center and now at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
However, WWE isn’t going to be able to stay at Tropicana Field for too much longer, with F4WOnline reporting that WWE is in talks to move the ThunderDome to the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
We don’t know that this is the new site for WWE tapings in a few weeks, but they have been talking to the Yuengling Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
With the MLB season set to kick off next month, with the Tampa Bay Rays set to play their first game at Tropicana Field on April 9, WWE will have to move the ThunderDome following Raw on April 5.
At this time, WWE has not confirmed exactly when they are going to be forced to move out of Tropicana Field and into their new venue. For any potential updates on the matter, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
The Yuengling Centre is currently the home of the South Florida Bulls Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams and the South Florida Bulls Women’s Volleyball Team. Currently, none of the three are running due to the pandemic.
