Kenny Omega will be challenging for the IMPACT World Championship at Rebellion next month, aiming to add to the AEW World and AAA Mega Championships that he already holds.
Moose and Rich Swann are set to unify the IMPACT and TNA World titles at Sacrifice on Saturday night, with the winner of that facing Omega in a title vs. title match at Rebellion on April 24.
Despite this being one of the biggest matches in recent IMPACT history, AEW and IMPACT have reportedly not agreed on any plans for the storyline after Rebellion next month, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
IMPACT reportedly wants a champion that will be able to appear on their weekly shows, while Tony Khan doesn’t want his champion to lose at any point, which could pose some issues:
Impact wants a champion who for the most part will be on television every week. Tony Khan wants a champion who won’t lose anywhere until he loses their title first. Anyway, you can do the math from there but we do know no plan is in place after what happens after, only for that night, and we saw with Sammy Guevara how well that worked out
