CMLL and NJPW have announced the formation of a new faction, which has an interesting connection with the past of Andrade.
Since his WWE release, Andrade has had the wrestling world debating where we will see “El Idolo” wrestle next. After recently teasing a CMLL return, a new faction has emerged in his former promotion which is linked to Andrade in an intriguing way.
NJPW and CMLL have announced the formation of “Los Nuevos Ingobernables”. NJPW1972.com recounted the events of the latest CMLL Informa show, where Terrible and Angel De Oro announced that they, along with Niebla Roja, are creating a new wing of the Los Ingobernables faction.
NJPW Global shared the news on Twitter, posting:
“Los Nuevos Ingobernables have formed in CMLL! Could Terrible, Angel De Oro and Niebla Roja have plans to tie up with Los Ingobernables De Japon?”
Previously wrestling as La Sombra, Andrade was involved in the formation of the original Los Ingobernables faction in CMLL. A new branch of the faction formed in 2015, with Tetsuya Naito captaining the NJPW wing of the group.
CMLL and NJPW have a long-term partnership and plan to continue sharing talent during dual-branded shows. With NJPW already teasing interactions between Los Ingobernables De Japon and Los Nuevos Ingobernables, it’s only a matter of time before the two factions share a ring.
The timing of the formation of this new team is certainly interesting. With original Los Ingobernables member Andrade teasing his arrival at both promotions, it is certainly coincidental that a new group has formed that can cause havoc in Mexico and Japan.
With conflicting reports surrounding Andrade’s 90-day non-compete clause, we will have to wait and see if La Sombra returns to CMLL or NJPW to side with one of these familiar groups.
