It has been almost four years since Adam Cole arrived in NXT. At NXT TakeOver Brooklyn III, Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish attacked then-NXT Champion Drew McIntyre.
Cole recently spoke with Sports Illustrated where he revealed that he had not planned to do his patented chant to end the show. He also mentioned that the reaction to it caught some eyes. Here is the quote:
“I had not planned to do my ‘Adam Cole, Bay-Bay!’ that night. I remember getting to the top of the ramp, the crowd was cheering, and I said, ‘Screw it.’ I bent down, and everyone shouted it with me. That caught some eyes.
That whole night, from attacking Drew McIntyre to doing ‘Adam Cole, Bay-Bay!’ with 15,000 people, was the perfect intro.”
Cole recently turned on his Undisputed Era partner Kyle O’Reilly. The two are currently scheduled to compete in an Unsanctioned match at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver.
