Earlier this month, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) announced that the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles, both held by Kota Ibushi, would be merged to create a new IWGP World Heavyweight title.
At the Road to Sakura Genesis event today (March 30), NJPW revealed the design for the new championship belt, which you can see below

Kota Ibushi became the first IWGP World Heavyweight Champion after defeating El Desperado at the 49th-anniversary event. He will make his first defence at Sakura Genesis against Will Ospreay on April 4.
The new title design hasn’t seemed to go over too well with fans, with the majority seemingly favouring the old design of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship over this new design.
