It has emerged that WWE actually made a big mistake during the Hall of Fame ceremony that aired on Tuesday night.
One of the inductees into the ‘Legacy’ wing of the Hall of Fame was Ethel Johnson, who was the first African American women’s wrestler.
However, during the video package for the Legacy inductees, WWE actually aired footage of Sandy Parker, not Johnson.
This was pointed out by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio today and also by some fans on Twitter.
WWE hasn’t commented on this or the reason for it.
