According to a new report, former WWE star Big Cass, now known as W. Morrissey, has signed his first deal since he was released by Vince McMahon back in 2018.
Fightful Select reports that following his debut for IMPACT Wrestling at the Rebellion PPV last weekend, Cass has signed a contract with the promotion, and will be appearing on a number of upcoming shows.
The report notes “he signed and will be around for the foreseeable future,” so his appearance at Rebellion appears to have been a part of this new contract.
Given IMPACT’s working relationship with AEW, it may be that we see Cass on Wednesday nights at some point in the near future.
Fightful Select previously reported that Doc Gallows had been recommending Cass to “higher ups”, and while it wasn’t clear which “higher ups” he meant, this news would suggest he at least spoke to IMPACT.
Cass has struggled with substance abuse and alcohol in the past, but has publicly spoken about his desire to get his life back on track, and it’s great to see him doing so well after a tough few years.
