Following news that broke earlier today, a new report has stated that the role of Don Callis in IMPACT Wrestling will change significantly.
It was previously reported that Callis had been removed as “IMPACT Executive” from IMPACT’s website. As per Fightful Select (subscription required), Callis’ role in IMPACT will be different in the near future.
Fightful Select are reporting that Callis has had seemingly reduced duties recently, with Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore leading the charge in IMPACT.
It was also reported that IMPACT talent are speculating that Callis’ role within Anthem has either changed, or is going to be changed significantly. Talent who were spoken to reportedly noted that they had been led to believe that Callis will continue his on-screen persona.
Callis frequently appears for AEW alongside Kenny Omega. It has also been speculated that Callis could’ve accepted a full-time role with the company and is preparing to depart from IMPACT.
Kenny Omega recently competed at IMPACT Under Siege. At the event, it was revealed that Moose will challenge Omega for the IMPACT World Championship in June.
Before then, Omega will defend his AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing. Omega will face PAC and Orange Cassidy on May 30 in a three-way match.
