Following reports that NXT is looking to return to touring, it now sounds like shows won’t be returning to Full Sail University.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said he was given the impression that the brand won’t be going back to Full Sail, which was the home of its TV shows for many years.
He said:
“I was given the impression that they’re not going back to Full Sail. That’s the impression I was given, I don’t know, plans change all the time in this company. People say they don’t, but they do. I don’t think they’re going back to Full Sail.”
This comes after Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the plan is for NXT to start running shows in 200-400 seat venues in Florida, but that was for house shows instead of TV.
NXT TV was being held at the Performance Center like Raw and SmackDown at the start of the pandemic, with occasional special shows at Full Sail, before the PC was transformed into the Capitol Wrestling Center we see today.
