In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has confirmed that he will be returning to WWE at some stage.
Ahead of the launch of Fast and Furious 9, John Cena told Chris Van Vliet that it’s a matter of when, not if, he’ll be returning to WWE television:
John Cena: “I very much look forward to wearing Jorts again. It’s been too long.
Chris Van Vliet: “I mean, it’s not a matter of if you’re coming back to WWE, it’s a matter of when.
Cena: “You’re absoultely correct.”

This comes after it has been reported by numerous sources over the last few weeks that WWE is planning on having John Cena main event SummerSlam in August with Roman Reigns.
Regarding when John Cena will be returning to television, it has actually been rumoured that WWE may look to bring the multi-time World Champion back for the July 16 episode of SmackDown, the first show back with fans.
