WWE SmackDown star Montez Ford underwent legitimate surgery after being written off TV via an attack from Otis.
As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was a voluntary surgery and he is not injured, the Otis attack was just a cover-up to give a storyline explanation for hospital pics he shared on Twitter.
The Observer notes that the surgery is “not something that should keep him out of action for any significant length of time”.
It does of course set up a match between the Street Profits and the Alpha Academy when he’s able to return, two teams with which the SmackDown tag division has actually been booked decently in recent times.
