An update has been provided on the status of Cash Wheeler after he suffered an injury during last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
Wheeler got a massive cut on his arm after it collided with the metal between the turnbuckle and the ringpost, and immediately went to the ringside doctor.
PWInsider reports that it was a “really bad cut”, and that Wheeler was doing okay in the back after being treated by medical staff.
There is currently no word on whether it will keep him out of the ring for any prolonged period of time.
The match’s referee Paul Turner told the rest of the talent to end the match immediately, although when they tried to do that with a roll-up, the shoulders weren’t down properly so he didn’t count it and they went a little longer.
It’s good that the safety of the talent was the priority, and we send our best wishes to Wheeler in his recovery and hope he’s doing okay.
