With a big Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa rematch planned for early 2022, reports have emerged regarding discussions for the big match.
In last week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that AEW had discussed “everything from a cage match to a hair match” as possible stipulations to make the rematch as big of a deal as possible.
However, in today’s Observer, Meltzer wrote that Tony Khan said he’d “never consider doing a hair vs hair match even for a fraction of a second”.
So, those of you who were worried about either woman losing their hair don’t have to worry at all.
Perhaps they’ll just have a “Throw each other off a roof through 19 tables into thousands of thumbtacks match”, or something much more reasonable like that, so there’s nothing to worry about!
Joking aside, it’s clear that AEW does want Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa to feel big and it will more than likely have some kind of stipulation attached to it to make it the biggest women’s match in the promotion’s history.
