The 2021 WWE Draft concluded this past Monday (October 4) on Raw, and possibly the most shocking pick of the night came when Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson was drafted to Raw in the sixth round, despite only signing with WWE last month.
We now have an idea of how WWE plans on using Steveson going forward, and it could culminate on a big in-ring debut at WrestleMania in Dallas.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer, WWE plans on featuring Gable on television throughout the next several months, before he starts as a regular in-ring talent after the college season ends in March, with the idea of Steveson making his in-ring debut at WrestleMania in April.
WWE is planning on setting up a remote training facility for Steveson in Minnesota, so he can work with WWE coaches and learn the WWE-style of wrestling.
