Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman has commented on possibly being interested in joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Strowman was released by WWE on June 2, and report heavily suggest he could be heading to IMPACT Wrestling.
However, it sounds like he wants to keep his options open and not throw himself into a full-time deal, meaning the door could be open for working elsewhere too.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, when asked specifically about the prospect of working with AEW, he said:
“Yeah, we’ve sat down, and discussed stuff like that with my agent and things like that. We’re just trying to find a fit now, where everything kind of will work together, since now, there’s so many things that I’m working on in my personal life. I don’t have as much time to devote to the full-time schedule to wrestle now.
“So, it’s trying to find somewhere where I’ll be able to land in there to show up, have fun and entertain the people, but still be able to work on my side projects along the way.”
It’s unclear what ring name Braun Strowman will be using going forward, with Adam Scherr (his real name) and Titan both being what fans have speculated the most.
If he is to show up in IMPACT, Bound For Glory this coming Saturday (October 23) would be a good bet for his debut.
