The WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1 will now be a Fatal Four-Way, it was confirmed on tonight’s (December 13) episode of Raw.
Bobby Lashley opened the show, addressing his attack on Seth Rollins, Big E and Kevin Owens last week, when he and MVP demanded Lashley be added to the WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1.
WWE officials Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce then revealed that Lashley would be added to the match if he could defeat Rollins, Owens and Big E in singles matches tonight.
Lashley’s first match was with Kevin Owens, who he defeated with the Hurt Lock. Owens tapped out before Lashley even had the hold completely locked in.
Lashley originally lost his second match to Seth Rollins by disqualification after Owens attacked Rollins intentionally, but Adam Pearce restarted the match, making all of Lashley’s matches No Disqualification matches. The All Mighty went on to Spear Rollins to score the win.
Lashley won his third and final match of the night in the main event, when he defeated WWE Champion Big E in a No Disqualification match, earning him his spot in the match at WWE Day 1.
WWE Day 1 streams live on Saturday, January 1, 2022 on the WWE Network and Peacock in the United States.
