The first WWE injury of the year 2022 occured before the first show of the year had even truly begun at last night’s (January 1) WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.
During the kickoff match, pitting Sheamus and Ridge Holland against Cesaro and Ricochet, Cesaro and Ricochet executed a double team move on Holland, with Ricochet’s boot catching Holland’s nose upon impact.
Holland was taken out of the match after being diagnosed with a broken nose, leaving Sheamus to finish the match alone for his team.
Holland has since taken to Twitter to show off the aftermath of his gruesome injury.
