The Usos shone in week one of 2022, picking up an achievement that no-one else has managed on the WWE main roster so far.
Last year we kept track of all WWE, NXT and AEW win-loss records on our stats page, and this year we’ll be doing the same, but this time we’ll also be providing regular updates on some of the more interesting developments.
One of the noteworthy things from the first week of action is that the Usos – Jimmy and Jey – are the first (and so far only) WWE stars of the year to pick up two wins on the main roster.
Their wins came in the form of a SmackDown Tag Team Title defence against New Day at Day 1 (January 1), and then another title retention over New Day on SmackDown (January 7), this time in a street fight.
This also means both New Day members – King Woods and Kofi Kingston – are among the few names to have racked up two losses in week one, with the others being Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, Big E and Kevin Owens, who were losers in the five-way WWE Title match at Day 1, and the #1 contender four-way two nights later on Raw (January 3).
Raw Tag Team Champion Riddle is noteworthy for also having picked up two wins so far this year, but one of those was on NXT 2.0.
Riddle retained the Raw Tag Team Title alongside Randy Orton over the Street Profits at Day 1, teamed with Orton in a losing effort against the Alpha Academy on Raw, then the next night on NXT 2.0 (January 4) scored a win alongside MSK over Imperium in a six-man tag team match.
No women in WWE have had two matches yet this year.
