Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar were set to do battle at WWE’s Royal Rumble. Fans were looking forward to this match-up of two legit badasses. However, we may not have gotten the finish we all expected.
Lashley defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship. However, he didn’t win it on his own.
During the match, Lesnar hit an F5 and it appeared he was going to win the match. However, he took out the ref while spinning Lashley around. The ref fell to the outside.
Lesnar got up trying to find the ref and when he turned around he was speared by Roman Reigns. Reigns then slowly walked over to Paul Heyman who was holding the WWE Championship.

Reigns put out his hand and Heyman handed him the title. Roman drilled Lesnar. Lashley pinned the champion and is your new WWE Champion.
Reigns and Heyman walked out together. Apparently, this was the plan all along. Heyman stabbed Lesnar in the back and has been with Roman all along. I’m not sure all the dots connect, but it certainly is interesting.
We’ll have more on this story as it becomes available. Congratulations to Bobby Lashley on his championship victory.
