The Royal Rumble is WWE’s second biggest event of the year, and the favourite event of a lot of the fans, and the numbers seemed to reflect that this year.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the show drew in more than 35,000 fans, which is the second highest gate in Royal Rumble history behind the 2017 event in the Alamodome, which drew 52,000.
The event also did the largest merchandise numbers in the history of the Royal Rumble event.
In terms of viewership, the Royal Rumble was the single most viewed WWE live event on Peacock, topping both nights of WrestleMania last year.
The show also topped 1 million Google searches, which is the most of any WWE event, including WrestleMania, since 2019.
