This is not a drill people, the Hardy Boyz are really back in action and already hopping into a feud on AEW Rampage.
After a post-match angle saw the newly minted Andrade Family Office (A.F.O. after Matt Hardy was voted out of the ‘business’ on AEW Dynamite) approach the ring in pursuit of Sting and Darby Allin, Rampage fans were treated to an appearance by the legendary tag team.
Coming out on the ramp to their infamous theme music in classic Hardy Boyz costuming, fans jumped straight into a time machine to see vintage Hardy Boyz.
After their foes scattered, the segment was over without having seen any action for the tag team.
While Matt has teased a return to his ‘extreme’ persona, there is also some indication that the Broken universe of characters will be resurrected during this AEW stint for the Hardys.
Matt Hardy shared earlier on Twitter that there was “an Easter egg in Hardys lore” from Wednesday, March 9 with Hardy wearing the same outfit on Dynamite as he did the last time Matt and Jeff were in the ring together with Rampage’s signature looks falling in line with the vintage Hardy Boyz revival.
As an Easter egg in Hardys lore, I wore the same outfit on #AEWDynamite that I wore the last time we were in a ring together. It connects our time apart. Did you notice? #BloodOverEverything pic.twitter.com/JGLbb2fjpd
