After an awkward ending that saw Randy Orton visibly hurt, the original planned finish for RK-Bro vs Street Profits has been revealed.
Randy Orton took a rough frog splash from Montez Ford on last night’s Raw, which forced the stars to go to the finish since Orton was unable to move.
Per Fightful Select, the original planned finish was supposed to be RK-Bro winning after a series of RKOs, but it didn’t happen due to Orton’s condition, and the Profits won off the back of the aforementioned frog splash instead.
Despite initial indications of it just being a stinger or tweak, Fightful reports that it was a bit of a combination of Orton getting the wind knocked out of him, his ribs being crushed and not being able to move. WWE is said to be continuing to monitor Orton’s condition.
There was no heat on Montez Ford for the spot and finish as it was looked at as a “s**t happens” situation.
As previously mentioned, Ford went on social media to provide an update of sorts on Orton following Raw.
